Now, if you have full coverage insurance on your vehicle now, and you get into an accident and its your fault, your insurance coverage now would probably take responsibility and not your friends. update:  Hey Marx, thanks for your response and time. I got 1 day car insurance coverage from one of the carriers on your site and it was for $99. I think that is a good price?  My friend said he got coverage for his daughter to go to a school dance in his new car and it was more like $128 but he said she was so happy and the smile on her face when she pulled up at the school dance with her friends was priceless.  So, if you can afford it…buy it I guess.

Hey Tom! Well I think the only way that you can test drive the seller’s car, is for the owner to list you as a driver on his car insurance policy. If the seller cant do that, then he will have to drive the car for you. Or maybe you can go somewhere that is a private ground so you can test drive it.

Its easy to tell if the car has a problem or if it looks ok even if you are not driving the car…

Watch out for the gear lever when changing down the gearbox…. Listen for whining noises from wheel bearings, engine, gearbox etc.

But of course, theres always car insurance that you can purchase for one day if you really want to.
