1 Day Car Insurance

Hey Guys, I was looking to insure a friends pickup truck that I was going to borrow for about a day, maybe two. Do I need to have special coverage for this borrowing or can I just risk going without coverage for this short time?

You might want to ask his current insurance agent, but in most cases the vehicle is covered under his liability policy regardless of the driver. Now, if you have full coverage insurance on your vehicle now, and you get into an accident and its your fault, your insurance coverage now would probably take responsibility and not your friends. If you get into a wreck and its not your fault the other guys insurance will pay the claim….hopefully. Talk to your agent to make sure.

My neighbor bought this type of coverage for his teenage son last month so he could attend a dance at school. It was pretty darn expensive but the boy loved driving up with all his friends watching him as he got out of dads shiny vehicle. So I guess it was worth the expense.
